What will you teach?
Our goal is for each child to find his or her own connection with the curriculum. We teach our campers to be express themselves creatively through coding. We've learned that kids move at different rates and have varying levels of experience, but luckily, Scratch is very flexible and very fun. In the end, we want each child to find something that clicks for her so that she can experience computers as a creator rather than simply a consumer.
May my child attend multiple sessions of Creative Computing?
Yes! Many of our students have come back for more, and they will have the opportunity to take their projects further and delve deeper into the world of coding!
What does my child need to bring?
Students will need to bring a laptop in order to code. If this is not possible, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be able to provide a limited number of computers per session.
Will food be served?
We will provide water bottles, pencils, and fresh fruit daily.
Does my child need to have prior coding experience?
We will take your child wherever she or he is. If your child already knows a lot, we will give her new projects to fill in the gaps and challenge her to use what she knows. If he doesn't have experience yet, we will start at square one.
